COMMERCIAL APPROACH
As a commercial photographer, I always stride to first and foremost understand and produce what the client wants. I have a natural and easy but effective approach to briefs, and throughout the creative process I continue to consult the needs of the client to produce exactly what is desired. Style and beauty and making a product look the best it can be visually, whether it be a pack of chewing gum or a Bentley motor car, is the intention behind every photo shoot.
ARTISTIC APPROACH
As an Art Photographer, I use traditional and alternative photographic processes including chemical-based colour darkroom, cyanotypes, and mixed media. I create abstracts and concept-based photographic compositions rooted in narrative or thought. The motivation behind my work is the creation of aesthetics which will uplift, invigorate, or inspire the viewer, achieved through the visual language of line, form, and colour. I want to engage the onlooker and evoke a personal response, to inspire a thought, idea, or impulse. Within the creative and often exploratory process of my abstract works, I am creating new realities. My intention is for the viewer to enjoy the initial visual appearance but as well to think about the piece as an entity and come to a personal interpretation of meaning.
